Jennifer, Melody & Kylo - Ren

Since I was young I’ve loved dogs — never being allowed to have my own but always being brought up around family and friends dogs. 
I actually have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice after facing facts that I just didn’t have the heart to work in a Rehoming centre. After graduating and realising that there where no jobs in my field I resorted, like many, to gumtree. I just happened to come across a job advert that was titled ‘Dog Grooming Assistant Wanted’..I guess that is where it all began. 
After working as an assistant for roughly three and a half years, I knew it was time and I took the plunge. I booked my place at the prestigious Scotgroom Dog Training in Carluke in 2017. I left with a Merit & Distinction award and was ready to become a professional groomer.  
Now, three years later I run a successful, busy high street salon and I pride myself on the high standard of care and services that I offer.
I also am a dog mum to the mascots and product testers of the salon, Melody a Manchester terrier and Kylo - Ren, a Japanese Spitz.

I am not only City & Guilds qualified, I have a diploma in Animal Welfare, canine first aid trained, a canine body language specialist, a certificate in handling dear and blind dogs and currently studying for a Certificate in Dog Law from the British College of Canine Studies. My business has been nominated for Best Grooming Business at the Scottish Business Awards three years in a row.
